Tension Control Bolts at Bristol Machine Company

Tension Control Bolts, or Tension Control Bolts, at Bristol Machine Company consists of 1 bolt, 1 nut and 1 washer and incorporate a button head configuration design for an increased load bearing area. Tension Control Bolts are designed with a spline drive on the threaded end of the bolt to ensure that repeatable tension levels are achieved with each installation. Bristol Machine Company’s Tension Control Bolts are interchangeable with other high tensile fasteners (A235, A490 Series), use standard bolt hole sizes, provide performance unaffected by tool or tool wear, require no tool calibration or air compressor for installation and provide extended tool life.

Bristol Machine Company’s Tension Control Bolts feature: visual inspection – no torquing required, control tension, guaranteed preload and high clean-up, one man installation, cannot be over-torqued, meet OSHA standards with Silent Installation and are tamper proof from head side.

Tension Control Bolts at Bristol Machine Company are interchangeable with other high tensile fasteners and use standard bolt hole size. Tension Control Bolts are installed using an electric shear wrench which has an outer socket that turns the nut counterclockwise, while grabbing the spline with the inner socket turning it clockwise. Once the required tension level is reached, the spline snaps off which indicated proper installation. Tension Control Bolts also do not require tool calibration for installation and provide an extended tool life due to no over-torqueing.
